Dr. Shedale Griffiths-Nelson
Consultant Paediatrician | Developmental Paediatrics
Dr. Shedale Griffiths-Nelson is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician with a passion for providing comprehensive, holistic care to infants, children, and adolescents. A native of Hanover and an alumna of The Hampton School, her journey into medicine was inspired through volunteer work at Cornwall Regional Hospital, where she discovered her love for paediatrics and child health.
Dr. Griffiths-Nelson completed her medical training at The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, before pursuing her Doctor of Medicine (DM) in Paediatrics. During her specialist training, she developed a particular interest in Developmental Paediatrics, focusing on the growth, development, and well-being of children from infancy through adolescence.
She is committed to partnering with families to support children’s physical, emotional, and developmental health. In addition to her clinical practice at The Paediatric Place, Dr. Griffiths-Nelson is actively involved in community outreach and volunteers with BAM Moms Society, where she provides prenatal education and support for expectant mothers. She is also available for newborn assessments and deliveries.
