Dr. Nickola J.M. Nelson is a highly experienced Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist (ENT Surgeon) and Head & Neck Surgeon with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of disorders affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. Originally from the island of St. Lucia, she earned her medical degree from The University of the West Indies (UWI) in 1995.
Following her internship at Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas, Dr. Nelson pursued specialist training through the University of the West Indies postgraduate programme, where she completed her Doctor of Medicine (DM) in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Head and Neck Surgery. During her specialist training, she spent a year in England receiving advanced exposure to multiple ENT subspecialties at Torbay Hospital in Devon, the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, and the internationally renowned Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
Dr. Nelson currently serves as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) and is an Associate Lecturer in the Faculty of Medical Sciences at The University of the West Indies, where she plays an important role in the education and mentorship of future healthcare professionals.
