Dr. Francis Barnett is a highly accomplished Consultant Otolaryngologist (ENT Surgeon) with extensive experience in the diagnosis and surgical management of disorders affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. He earned both his Medical Degree (MBBS) and Doctor of Medicine in Otolaryngology (DM ORL) from The University of the West Indies (UWI).
Committed to advancing his expertise, Dr. Barnett completed additional training in England under the auspices of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has participated in advanced ENT training programs in France, England, and the United States. In recognition of his outstanding professional achievements, he was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) in 2018, one of the most prestigious honours in surgery.
Dr. Barnett has particular expertise in sinus surgery, sleep-related disorders, thyroid surgery, and head and neck cancer management. He currently serves as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Kingston Public Hospital, where he oversees the management of complex ENT conditions, including head and neck cancers. He is also an Associate Lecturer at The University of the West Indies, actively involved in teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees.
