Dr. Lori-Ann Fisher
Consultant Internist, Nephrologist & Hypertension Specialist with advanced nephrology training from Johns Hopkins Hospital. She specializes in the management of chronic kidney disease, end-stage kidney disease, dialysis, hypertension, lupus, diabetes, sickle cell disease, heart failure, and other complex medical conditions. Known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach, Dr. Fisher is dedicated to helping patients achieve better long-term health outcomes.
With over five years of experience as a Consultant Nephrologist and Intensivist at the University Hospital of the West Indies, Dr. Fisher has established herself as a leading kidney specialist in Jamaica and the Caribbean. She also serves as an Honorary Lecturer with the Caribbean Institute of Health Research and an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Medicine at The University of the West Indies, Mona.
Passionate about improving kidney health across the region, Dr. Fisher is actively involved in public education, advocacy, and research. Her work focuses on the epidemiology of kidney disease in the Caribbean and sickle cell nephropathy, and she has contributed to several publications on acute and chronic kidney disease in Jamaica. Through her clinical care, teaching, and research, she continues to advance awareness, prevention, and treatment of kidney disease throughout the Caribbean.
